Description The Sludge Gator is one of only creatures that thrive in the squalor of waste provided by industrialization and makes its home in the refuge filled waterways of many boomtowns.
Its hide is jet black in colour and covered in greyish tar or sludge that never seems to wash off but does not seem to hinder the gator, it also has a thick ooze like substance constantly dripping from its mouth.
Special Attacks Tar (Ex): Making any melee attack against the creature requires you to make a save against the tar effects. REF save DC 15 or be tarred. The Tar attack causes–1 to initiative, attacks and AC for 2 melee rounds. Multiple Tar attacks have cumulative effects and duration. Generally if a -10 penalty is reached from the tar the victim is considered immobilized.

Bacteria Ooze (Ex): The creature’s mouth produces a nasty batcerial ooze. When the creature makes a successful bite attack the victim must make a Fort save DC 20, if this fails they are infected. Each exposure causes 1D4 temporary Con damage.
Special Qualities Hold Breath (Ex): Can Hold their breath underwater for up to 2 full hours.
Combat Like all gators they are masters of ambush and may wait hours or even days for prey to come within striking distance. Against larger creatures they bite and retreat multiple times allowing the ooze to do it’s work while using their tail slap to tar the victim and slow their retreat. They are patient stalkers and may strike again and again in an effort to weaken their prey before the final kill.
